Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.

I think that the toys of today allot more technologically advanced. Thus also bringing the price of toys up. I believe kids today are starting to like more technology, than action figures. In conclusion I believe that the toys of today are almost all have some sort of technology involved.
the toys of 2008 look neat yet the price tag on most off all toys will be out of sight and ungodly kinda like gas lol. but the higher the price and the more the kids say gime, gime, gime or i want this, this, this and this with a little smile hug and a wink the parents will spent 987958795 Gojillion dollars on the little brat to please them.
Toy prices have definitely went up. Though, then again- what HASNT went up? Toys these days are way more tochnological and therefore, the prices will be up to par- or perhaps over.
Heres what i dont get. Its a toy. Toys should not be that expensive. Its ridiculous to spend money on that. Even though they are getting more advanced in technology thats still ridiculous. What is the point in paying that much anyway? The toy will just break really fast and then you will just buy more
Well I have grown up now and I don't have much of an interest in toys anymore, but some of the things people go trough to get some of these toys are a little ridiculous.
As much as I love children and seeing them happily playing with a new toy, I would never spend such a large amount of money on one. Technology is good and everything but, why buy expensive toys like that when kids are just as happy playing with stuffed animals?
i think it is crazy to spend so much money on toys that are over rated. Plus kid will only play with them for like a week and it is a waste of money
Its rediculous to pay that much for a toy but in todays world toys are being made more technologically advanced wich makes the toy cost more. But i believe there should be a limit to the price because alot of people cant afford toys that cost that much

Spending that much on a toy is a little crazy but we all know that our parents will do in just for christmas. But a robot dog yeah its cool and all but i think kids these days are to busy in doors and need to get out side. All the toy makers need to push getting off their butts and playing and not sitting and using a control and not moving.
Yes, prices of toys went way up. Yes technology is getting better each day. Yes I believe kids these days RELY on technology to get them thru life which is rediculous. But yea. technology is get pretty rediculous but its still a good thing. right?
I think people need to start going back to the simple days where your kid just gets a toy. it dont have to have a bunch of fancy electronics to keep them happy. plus they will probley grow out of it within that year or two so why would you spend so much money to keep your kid tempararly satisfied?
I would never pay that much for a toy the prices are crazy. The toys are getting more advanced but these companies would probably make better profit if they took the prices down some more toys would be sold.
I will never pay that much for a toy like that that is way too much to spend on a toy that will eventually break in less than a week.
Well i think that the toys are more Advanced than when i was little just like Dustin said. And he is right that kids dont like action figures anymore the like Game Boys, PSP,hand held games and so on. And toys are alot more expensive. Now would not pay that much for a toy.

toys these days are great and fun! many toys are not like they use to be...Many have alot of technology. The prices are crazy! I know my 7 year old brother don't play with action figures anymore. He has a x-box 306 and plays that more that anything!
TOYS TOYS TOYS!!!! That all the little kids are crying these days. and with the price of toys constantly rising. parents just cant keep up with it.
Toys these days are amazing. Prices are crazy but there are inventions out there to make children really want to learn, and activities to motivate them to get off the couch. And I also think its good for kids to have there own child proof camera. Its amazing to see children operate computers and cameras these days, without computer classes or anything. My grandma has a computer and would only touch it if I were over there helping her, yeah toys are expensive .. but so is everything else!

i think people do pay to much for a toys today even know it cost more to make they are profiting alot more then what they will ever spend. And more advanced the toys get more people will spend.
