Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.

i think that they should test their water and try to keep as clean as they can for the people to drink because if the people know that it is the safes water to drink more and more people will drink it and their profit will go up and people will stay healther longer and than could buy more and more water so they should clean it to the fulles that they can
The companies should test their water before they sell it because it can cause problems with people. And some people are liable to make law suits. but personally I think bottled water is a waste of money, when you can just get it out of the tap.
they should test the water more... water supposed to be good for you and it is making people sick... darn water people.
I don't really see the point in buying bottled water when I have a faucet at home that works just fine, and the content is basically the same. I do think that the companies should test their water to make sure it's safe for consumption and won't cause any health problems, though.
i think that they should test our water just to be save. our water is good so there profit is going up. water is good for the body so of course people will still buy bottled water.
The FDA should test for anything and everything that could even be remotely dangerous to our bodies. Bottled water is supposed to be clean but come to find out it's just as dirty as tap water. If the FDA gets rid of the pharmisuticals in the water more people would drink it than what do now.
if u read the fine print that is hard to find bottled water is your basic tape water in a bottle. all the companies did was slap a label on the water and charge more for it.
Yes companies should test the water, but things like that are going to happen. i heard that if you refill water bottles you could get sick, because the plastic can only be filled once.
I think that every bottled water company should test their water. If the water does have something in it and the company says it is clean and someone decides to test it and find something in it that is not "pure", then they could probably be sued it the thing they found is bad enough. All I know is that I would not want to drink something that has gross suff in it.
Testing the water is extremely important. Especially if they are going to charge over a dollar for one bottle of water. I mean come on people!! Why would we BUY water if it isn't going to be "pure" when we could just drink the junk out of our faucet? Do your job.
I think they should just ship bottles of water to every ones house. Because tap water is the nastest tasting water that i have ever had. And they have the test every now and again so you cant drink the water for like an hour. So they should just give every body bottles of water.
I think companies should probably test their better. On the other I drink like 3 bottles of water a day and never have gotten sick. If you think about it bottled water is probably a lot more clean than tap water.
