Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.
My hope is that students will learn more about economics and gain more interest in the subject by reading and writing their thoughts on current events. The site clustrmap shows visitors from all around the globe, please email and let us know what you think of our site.

Basically I think that people are spending a lot of there money on there wants rather than there needs. So even though there some people that make like 50,000 a year and have a lot of nice things these things aren't really necessary. We need to budget better!
People are taking too much time to spend money on things that they want instead of what they need. There are a lot of people that don't make that much money a year, yet they have everything they've ever wanted.
Its hard to budget. People always want something and they feel that when they have money, they just need to go out and get it immediately. Its a waste of money. If people would just focus on their needs more than their wants they would have an easier time budgeting
Budgeting is very important. We need to think about our limited resources and stop buying things that we don't really need. Don't get me wrong, wants are important too. But, some people over due the idea.
most people spend money on miscellaneous things to often rather than satisfying there needs....
i think that we need to focus on what we need not what we want, budgeting is very important to learn to be well off
Having a house is a lot more important than having nice things on the side. I would much rather live in a nice home than to go out to eat at nice restaurants every night. Budgeting is hard, but you have to do it .. or you'll pretty much end up with nothing and a debt to worry about.
People have not been very good an saving money. Many people think that even though they don't really have the money to spend on the things that they want and spend they money anyway so they go in dept or lose they house, or car or get caught up in unpaid bills. I think it is very important to pay all bill before spending money on things you want but u should really try to save money because u may need it in the future.
