5 ways to Save Gas Money

It seems every day, gas pump prices hit another record high. The latest record national average for regular unleaded, as of April 9, was $3.34 per gallon, up 20% (or 55 cents) over the past year.

Prices are expected to top the $4 mark this summer. But don't let $80.00 fill-ups pump the fun out of your warm, sunny days. Here are five ways to score solid savings when you pull into the service station.

Those are good tips on ways to save money. but never the less i do not believe prices should be that high. seriously is it that expensive to get oil? i think we as consumers are not getting a fair price. the people who we import the oil from know that but do not care because that is more money in thier pocket.

I think that countrys we are getting our oil from is making big profit off this because they know how important it is to the U.S. and it has gotten pretty rediculas because as minimum wage increases so does prices there really is no point. I think the prices are pretty outragous now and these tips are good tips to help people save money on gas but still i think people started doing all these tips way before prices shot up this high i sure citizens were doing this a $2.00 a gallon.

Thats a good way to learn how to save on gas prices I think it is ridiculous to spend 4+ dollars a gallon on gas 3.01 to 3.25 isn't that bad on gas but once it starts hitting the 4+ dollar mark I think you will see less and less people driving and even for semi truck drivers you may see that start to slow up until gas prices are lowered.

These are good ideas on saving gas. It's crazy how high gas has come to be.. my mom is always saying she remembers when it was just a dollar or so... Oh well- we are running out of resources..which is kind of scary.

These are very good tips but the main thing people look over is keeping your foot out of it. I found out in my car the best way is to ease on the pedal at a start and completley let off the people and cruise once you get to the speed limit. I spun a bearing in my engine and didnt have the money to rebuild it so I kept the engine under 2000 rpms all time and my monstrous gas gussling carburated V8 nearly got the same mileage as my driver at the moment a fuel injected V6. So thats the advice I have to get. Just so people know when I was driving it before I got in it alot more and average around 5 mpg and got around 13 or more when I was easy on it.

I think gas prices are way to high. But if people started riding bikes around town then you would save more money. If everyone was to ride bikes this summer we would save money but gas prices are going up so save your money and ride a bike or walk to will also help the air pollution and obesity problems!

Just like everyone else, I have watched the gas prices rise and fall in addition to listing to my parents and friends squabble about how crazy they're becoming. On the other hand, I don't drive like the however many millions of teens in the world so I don't complain. Reading this article did give me some great tips on how to save money for when I do start driving.
