Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.
My hope is that students will learn more about economics and gain more interest in the subject by reading and writing their thoughts on current events. The site clustrmap shows visitors from all around the globe, please email and let us know what you think of our site.

The numbers are crazy!
I think people need to learn how to use the money that have in a more intelligent, responsible manner. Maybe after they do, start doing that, maybe so many people will stop going bankrupt.
The economy is becoming more distressed with each passing day. Obama's proposal should reach out to all citizens, not just the military.
i think and if people start gettin laons it would be better
The economy is hard on the people. They keep wanting to raise the taxes and prices on everything.
Thats bogus! i think thats why a lot of people need to go over their budget before spending or charging anything. i think credit cards are the number one cause of debt. maybe debit cards should be something people look up too, at least they would not be borrowing money they cannot afford.
People are spending money when they don't have it. They are considering what they want before they consider what they need. Unfortunately that leaves a majority of our economy is a spiraling downfall.
people need to learn how to manage their money better. they need to buy stuff they need instead of stuff they want. i think the latest storm showed people that.
people should stop using credit cards so much that is like the number one cause of debt. people should think and be smarter with their money.
I think people need to be more intelligent and responsible when planning their budgets.
