Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.
My hope is that students will learn more about economics and gain more interest in the subject by reading and writing their thoughts on current events. The site clustrmap shows visitors from all around the globe, please email and let us know what you think of our site.

I don't think that body fragrances are bad. But i do think that they can be over used and i think the people that over use the body sprays make all of them look bad. So i disagree that schools should ban all body sprays because of this fact. In conclusion i think that body fragrances are not a bad thing.
Personally I hate the fragrances because they spray too much and they are very strong !when i smell too much of that stuff it gives me headaches!I think its gross if guys substitute it for showers ,i mean who doesnt like to take showers if you dont your nasty!sorry but thats what i think guys!
I dont think that body fagrances are bad but they can sometimes get bad. There everywhere now from your bathroom to your locker to even your school locker rooms. I do use bodyfragrances sometimes when im in need of it like after soccer games/practice etc.. I disagree that schools should ban them. Its apart of life for others and yea. thats my opinion.
Personaly I think if your gonna complain to the point to where a lawyer is involved in a case about people wearing body fragrences, "There is something really wrong with you"... Its not even that bad. Just Deal with it. Thats a freedom we have as Americans. Sometimes its good to wear it, ecspecially if you dont shower.. cause i would rather smell a mixture of bad body oder and body spray rather that bad hygiene
I believe that there is nothing wrong with body sprays. But i do agree that they are used too much. I understand that guys like to smell good but they dont need to spray that much all the time. But I dont see anything wrong with it. Everybody should just deal with it because i guarantee you that it will happen no matter what
you can never change the way people smell... its not bad and its not distracted anybody so why take it away... so just dont take smell goods... i hate body spray... but cologne is good
Personally, I do use Axe body spray daily, but I don't use it at school. I don't think that body sprays are a bad thing, but they can be over done. Even as a person who uses it, the smell can get very bad when someone uses too much, and it does bother my allergies. I don't think we should ban them, though, it is a person's right to use it if they wish.
i think that we need fragrances in our school because if not some kids will com to school smelling really bad , i myself always spray cologne before i leave the house so i can smell nice when i'm around people.
I do not think that they should ban body fragrances. But they should not allow people to spray them in the class room.
Personally, I think that body fragrances are okay in some cases. If fragrances are bothering people that much then they should just limit where you can USE them; such as places like the locker rooms, and bathrooms.
Body fragerances arent really that bad but some people dont know when enough is enough. I dont think they should be banned from school because do you really want to be sittin in class with the guy or girl who just came from gym class the period before im pretty sure you dont so I dont think body spray should be banned from school
I think getting rid of fragrances in schools is stupid. People like to smell good and who are schools to tell their students they can not wear any. I will agree some people get a little carried away and spray way too much but if you put on a normal amount i do not understand why it is a problem.
people in school have no right to say what they can and can not spray butt their are too many body sprays being sprayed in the schools as is. in one day i think i smell like 30 different smells from body spray and ect.
i think its ridiculous to ban fragrances from schools people may want 2 freshen up after coming from gym or any other activity...
I think fragrances are nice, but even myself is allergic to a lot of things. I sneeze about 20 times a day, mostly because of certain fragrances that I am allergic to. It is a good idea to ban fragrances at schools because it does people do get a little ridiculous with how much perfume or cologne they spray on themselves. People need to realize when they spray something, they will probably walk by someone in the hallway that could have an asthma attack!
Yes i agree sometimes use a little too much but when you have gym class you have no choice but to use that or regular deo. But girls go over board when they use it its way too much and it can be hazardous to people in their surroundings.
What is this nation coming to if we cant smoke and hold a gun buy our selves now we can smell good? if this bill passes that we just need to rewrite out constatution. IF people are having reactions to smells that get some med's or suck it up and quit being crybabies.
I dont think they are bad or sould be banned. What people mainly smell is where the people spray it on in the school. Most people dont smell that strong but rather the spot where they sprayed it at. So you souldnt not be allowed to have any of it on but rather have to spray it outside or at home.
That is dumb to have Fragrance free school because people smells and all day you will be smelling must. But sometimes people do over use them and other people are allergic to them. But you have to have a limit on how much you spray on.
I personally use body spray but if they were to ban Fragrance Sprays from school i wouldn't have a problem with it because it does affect different students any many ways such as sinuses and headaches. And as alot of people know not suffering from these problems, still understand that they can be caused from body sprays.
Fragrance free schools maybe successful . But it might not work, plus Kids these days like to smell, Me included. Plus its a lot better than what some kids smell like. Some might be allergic but thats only 1 out of so many students. Plus what is going to stop the students from wearing it. But i might work and it might not work.
ok...well many people at our school put way tp much spray on! me personaly i don't mind it but sometimes it's to much! It makes my head hurt! if the school bord deciede to make this a ragranc free school i wouldnt mind i think it would be better but i'm sure many kids wouldn't abide by the rules!
some people do use way to much spray. Then some people don't use any. And if you take away spray then we will just have more people that stink in our school.
i do not think body fragrance is bad because most of the time its helping other people but sometimes people may use to much and it can affect other peoples allergies.
