Hi, my name is Lisa Rowland and I teach JA Economics and AP Economics.

Students are expected to read a minimum of one article a week and either post one comment online, or turn in a hard copy of their comments in class.
My hope is that students will learn more about economics and gain more interest in the subject by reading and writing their thoughts on current events. The site clustrmap shows visitors from all around the globe, please email and let us know what you think of our site.

I believe that they are taking the issue a bit too far when they are calling Barbie a
"Trojan Horse". This is what I feel needs to happen if the people want to have freedoms just like us.
well barbie is evil, so i can see why they want to stop the importation of the toys from else were cause were their is imported toys their smuggled toys
i think people take the whole barbie think out of poportion. give the people there freedom
I think if thats what they believe and want for Iran thats fine but you cant stop making them for America because are customs do have kids wearing mini skirts and swimsuits when they swim in he same pool also.but if thats what thier president and governor says than maybe its best!
I think that Iran can be against sellig barbie but the U.S. children will always love barbie every girl and their mother has wanted a barbie. Barbie is propably the most popular toy in the U.S. and has been that way every since i could remember. I think just because other countries dont like barbie that than its not gonna change the minds of the U.S.
