Should you trade in the gas guzzler?

"Like a lot of people, you may be watching the price at the pump soar and wondering whether it's time to dump your current, less-than-efficient SUV, truck or car.
It's tempting to simply haul your 15 miles-per-gallon vehicle down to the dealership and drive out in something that gets 30 mpg or more. But that may not be smart, at least from a financial point of view." What do you think? Does your family own one? If so, What conversations are you having about trading it in?

i would trade in cuase i am looking for the futer and not the present point in time if i have to lose a little money to get a car that will save me in the furter than i will live with that choes but since it does less than a reggler car and is better for the enviorment that means when i have kids their enviorment will be a little better witch is good for me to spend a little more to make it healther for the futer and the enviorment my kids deserver to live in a clean place and not suffer for what we are doing right now

I think i would keep it because big trucks is a personal favorite of mines and i would keep it also because of the cheapness of it and even though gas is very unreasonable right now I'm able to risk it to ride good and I think i can manage.

If I had a gas hog car i would trade it in for something that has a better gas mileage because how expensive gas is right now noone knows how it will be in the future it could just get worse. I think that it would be a good idea to get a car better on gas until gas prices drop to trade it back and get the gas hog back.

In the end I feel like it all evens out because if you trade your old car you will not get a lot of money for it then you have to pay even more the new car with better gas mileage but now you have a new car payment to start all over with.

In a way I would and in a would i would not because what if i need to ship some lumber or even some mulch douring the summer i wont have enough space if i trade them in. but in the other instance I think that it would be a good idea to get a car better on gas until gas prices drop to trade it back and get the gas hog back.

I think you should have a car with better gas mileage because it is a lot cheaper than buying a suv or big truck and spending way more money on gas

I think having a car with better gas mileage is more important then what the car looks like. If you have a big car with bad gas mileage you will end up spending a lot more money in gas than you would of having a car that don't use as much gas as much.
